Do You Need Childcare? Let Us Know.

Monticello, NY – The Sullivan County Division of Community Resources and the Sullivan County Child Care Council have jointly created a survey to meet the needs of families in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.

“While our childcare businesses have remained essential since New York went on PAUSE in March, some programs closed due to loss of clients (such as teachers that are working from home) and other reasons. Additionally, some – possibly all – children’s summer camps will not open this year, leaving parents scrambling,” explains Child Care Council Executive Director Donna Willi. “Through this survey, we want to get an idea of how many parents will suffer difficulties – even not be able to work – due to lack of options.”

“The survey can be filled out anonymously by anyone who needs childcare services, be they a parent, grandparent, guardian or other caregiver,” Community Resources Commissioner Laura Quigley affirms. “The questions are easy – we just want to know what you need, when you need it, and what challenges you may be facing.”

The survey can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/QBJ2KFK and will be available through June 21. If you do not have Internet access or would prefer to answer the questions over the phone, please call the Child Care Council at 845-292-7166.
