Notice of Public Hearing

2026 Preliminary Budget

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Highland Town Board will hold a Preliminary Budget Workshop on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:00 at the Town of Highland Town Hall, 4 Proctor Rd., Eldred, NY  12732.  After the Preliminary Budget has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, 4 Proctor Rd, Eldred, NY, where it will be available for inspection by any person during Town Clerk’s office hours.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town of Highland Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 11, at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall, 4 Proctor Rd, Eldred, NY  12732 on the Preliminary Budget at which time any person may be heard in favor or against any item contained therein and will be followed by the Regular Town Board Meeting.

Pursuant to Town Law Section 108 the proposed salaries of the elected town officers are as follows:

Town Supervisor                      $26,826.45

Town Councilman (4)               $26,604.75

Town Justice (2)                       $32,205.08

Town Clerk/Tax Collector        $43,054.50

Highway Superintendent        $55,000.00
