Notice for Planning Board Alternate

The Planning Board is a five member board including two alternate members, we are seeking to round out the board and fill the final alternate role. Each member is appointed by the Town Board for a five year term and the Planning Board has the authority to grant Lot Improvements, Major/ Minor Subdivisions, Site Plan Review and Special Use Permits.

Any member of this Board, including Alternates, who has not obtained the mandatory four hours of classes recommended by the County Planning Board in the calendar year shall automatically be dropped as a member of this Board. However, if any member of the Board attends a class, while not recommended by the County Planning Board, which is approved by the Supervisor, that class shall be counted toward the four hours of classes.

This position would require attendance at each meeting on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 6PM.
